Terms and Conditions

Returns policy:

By law we are not legally obliged to give refunds or exchange items purchased in our shop, but as a goodwill gesture we will refund or exchange any items within 14 days of purchase, with proof of purchase. Goods must be returned undamaged in original packaging also undamaged. We do not offer credit notes. 

Special order items: If you place an order with us in the shop, the same rule applies as above, but will be subject to a 30% restocking charge as the items has been ordered especially for you. Payment in full is required before commencement of an order.

Made to order items: Made to order upholstery, made to measure soft furnishings, curtains, furniture, flooring, and some wallpapers, along with cabinetry etc. This list is not exhaustive.

Once you have placed your order this is classed as confirmation to proceed unless, you advise us within 24 hours by email to customerservie@paulagundryinteriors.co.uk providing all relevant information relating to your order. Payment in full is required before commencement of an order. No refunds will be given unless goods are found to be faulty and reported as above within 24 hours of taking delivery.  

All electrical items are to be returned in original packaging, undamaged and not assembled or fitted. We reserve the right to check each product prior to issuing a refund or exchange. 

All goods remain the property of Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd until paid for in full. 

All paints, wallpapers and fabrics are non returnable. Any fabric must be checked upon receipt for flaws/faults, which must be reported to customerservices@paulagundryinteriors.co.uk within 24 hours of receipt by Once cut any wallpapers or fabrics will not be returnable if we have not been advised in advance. 

It is the responsibility of those ordering wallpaper, to ensure that the correct quantities are estimated and ordered, with any surplus being non returnable, unless faulty. Any quantities estimated whilst in store are for guidance only and must be checked by you.

For any bespoke order or project, Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd will produce an estimate of costs relating to the products discussed.

Any orders placed by customers on the basis of their own measurements are done so at their own risk and will be non returnable should these be found to be incorrect. 

Estimates are valid for 30 days form date of issue and will include VAT at the standard rate and may, if required, give some indication of the charge for fitting any items and delivery charges. 

Payment in full is required before commencement of an order, and any additional costs – such as fitting and delivery – will be invoiced once the job is complete. If the fitter is required to visit more than once then subsequent charges may be payable, the same applies in terms of deliveries. 

Fitting Charges:

Should you choose poles and curtains/blinds to be fitted by one of our professional fitters, we charge £45 per hour which includes travel. All other fitting charges will be highlighted as part of an estimate, should they be relevant.

Sale items:

Sale items are non returnable, unless faulty, accompanied by receipt. 

Items reduced in price.

If an item is faulty/damaged, and accordingly reduced in price, it becomes non returnable due to that fault.

Goods damaged/lost in transit.

Once goods have been passed to, or are being delivered by a third party, the liability for their safe delivery falls with the courier/delivery company in question, and not with Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd. It is the responsibility of the purchaser, once delivery details have been provided by the seller, to liaise with the delivery company in order to locate and seek the safe delivery of goods. It is the responsibility of each courier/delivery company/postal service to insure against such risk.

Delivery address.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide the correct delivery address which, if incorrect, the purchaser must bare the cost of redelivery. 

Goods left at purchasers own risk.

If a purchaser wishes a delivery company to leave goods, they do so at their own risk with Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd not being responsible. 

Increase in prices, from suppliers to Paula Gundry Interiors

All efforts are made, to provide accurate estimates and prices, however on occasion a supplier to Paula Gundry Interiors may increase their prices, which are beyond our control. 

Services provided to our customers via third parties.

Any third party supplying a service to our clients, via Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd, are responsible to obtain and maintain their own insurance for the relevant service they supply. Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd accepts no liability for such services and advise provided by third party companies or contractors. 

Delivery/supply of goods

Every effort is made to give accurate delivery/productions timescales. However Paula Gundry Interiors Ltd cannot be held responsible for any delays, due to suppliers/contractors amendments of delivery dates/production schedules and items that are out of stock. Stock not collected within 7 days of advising clients who wish to collect from store, will be subject to a storage charge at current rates, please ask for more details.

 Conditions means the terms and conditions set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing between the Company and the Customer 

Contract means the contract for the provision of Goods and/or Services 

Customer means the person firm or company purchasing or agreeing to purchase Goods and/or Services from the Company in accordance with the Conditions

Goods means all goods materials or any part thereof being the subject of any contract to which the Conditions apply (whether or not in performance of the Services as defined below) particulars of which are [set out overleaf or otherwise] specified in writing to the Customer 

Services means the services particulars of which are otherwise specified in writing to the Customer which the Company is to carry out in accordance with these Conditions Conditions shall apply to the Contract to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions 

No variation to these Conditions (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) shall be binding unless agreed in writing between the authorised representatives of the Company and the Customer. Any representations made by the Company’s employees or agents concerning the Goods or Services shall not be incorporated into The Contract unless confirmed in writing by the Company and in entering into the Contract the Customer acknowledges that it does not rely on and waives any claim for breach of any such representations which are not so confirmed. 

Any quotation given by the Company may be withdrawn at any time prior to acceptance by the Customer and in any event shall lapse after one month.The Company reserves the right to make changes in the specification of the Goods and/or Services which are required to conform with any applicable safety or other statutory requirements or which do not materially affect their quality or performance.Unless otherwise agreed the Price is exclusive of transportation and delivery Any alteration to the Contract specification required by the Customer must be notified to the Company promptly in which case the Company may accept such alteration (subject to any increase in the Price to reflect the alteration) at its sole discretion .

The Company does not warrant that the use of any software developed in the provision of the Services or comprised in the Goods will meet the Customer’s data processing requirements or that the operation of the software (including where in machine readable form) will be uninterrupted or error free and except as otherwise agreed the Company does not warrant that the Goods and/or Services are fit for any particular purpose of the Customer.The Company shall be under no liability in respect of any defect in the Goods and/or Services arising from any drawing design or specification supplied by the Customer/agent. 

Any description of the Goods provided by the Company are for guidance purposes only and do not imply suitability for any particular purpose.The Company shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising through wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without the Company’s approval. 

Any liability of the Company hereunder (except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence) for any delay in performing or any failure to perform any of the Company’s obligations 

Subject as expressly provided in these Conditions all warranties conditions or other terms implied by statute or common law are extended to the fullest extent permitted by Law 

Where the Goods and/or Services are supplied under a Consumer Transaction (as defined by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976) the statutory rights of the Customer are not affected by the Conditions 


Risk of damage to or loss of the Goods shall pass to the Customer upon delivery of the Goods 

Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk in the Goods or any provision of these Conditions the property in the Goods shall not pass to the Customer until the Company has received in actual cleared funds payment in full of the Price and VAT and the price of all other goods agreed to be sold by the Company to the Customer for which payment is then due 

Until such time as the property in the Goods passes to the Customer the Company shall be entitled at any time to require the Customer to deliver up the Goods to the Company and if the Customer fails to do so forthwith to enter upon any premises of the Customer or any third party where the Goods are stored and repossess the Goods 

The Customer shall not be entitled to pledge or in any way charge by way of security for any indebtedness any of the Goods which remain the property of the Company but if the Company does so all monies owing to the Company by the Customer shall (without prejudice to any other right or remedy of the Company) forthwith become.Each supplier is responsible in terms of insurance/damage to goods delivered on an individual basis. Paula Gundry Interiors holds professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and is not responsible for the actions of the independent parties within or on behalf of clients, for or within their homes. Each supplier is expected to gain their own insurance, fit for purpose and circumstances.
